Lumio
Last updated: June 29, 2026
Welcome to Lumio.
Lumio is a quiet place to slow down, reflect, and write. These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain the rules for using the Lumio mobile application ("Lumio" or the "App").
Lumio is developed by Ericson Luciano, an independent developer based in the Philippines.
By downloading or using Lumio, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
Lumio is a private daily reflection app.
Each day you'll receive one thoughtfully chosen quote and one reflection question. Your responses are stored in your personal journal, which belongs to you.
Lumio is intentionally simple. It isn't a social network, and your reflections are never shared with other users.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum digital consent age required in your country, to use Lumio.
By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You don't need to create an account to use Lumio.
Most features work without signing in or providing an email address.
If you subscribe to Support Lumio, your subscription is managed through your Apple ID using Apple's In-App Purchase system.
Everything you write in Lumio belongs to you.
By default, your journal is stored only on your device.
If you enable iCloud Sync, your journal is also stored privately in your personal Apple iCloud account so it can sync across your Apple devices.
I don't claim ownership of your reflections.
Lumio doesn't publish, sell, or share your journal with anyone else.
If you submit a quote through Suggest a Quote, your submission is handled separately through Tally and may be reviewed before being featured in Lumio.
Support Lumio is an optional subscription that helps keep Lumio independent.
Supporters may receive features such as:
The core daily reflection experience remains free.
Subscriptions are processed through Apple.
Current pricing is shown in the App before purchase and may vary by country or region.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple ID settings before the renewal date.
You can manage, cancel, or restore your subscription through Apple's subscription settings or by using Restore Purchases inside Lumio.
Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies.
When using Lumio, you agree not to:
Lumio, including its design, branding, artwork, software, and original content, belongs to Ericson Luciano unless otherwise stated.
Quotes included in Lumio remain the property of their original authors and rights holders where applicable.
Lumio uses trusted third-party services to provide certain features.
These include services for:
Those services have their own terms and privacy policies.
Lumio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Lumio is designed to encourage personal reflection. It isn't intended to provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, or professional advice.
While I work hard to make Lumio reliable, I can't guarantee uninterrupted service or that every feature will always be available.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I won't be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of Lumio.
If I am found liable for any claim related to Lumio, my total liability won't exceed the amount you paid for Support Lumio during the previous twelve months.
You can stop using Lumio at any time.
If you'd like to remove your journal, open:
Settings → Clear All Data
before uninstalling the App.
Deleting the App doesn't automatically cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions must be canceled through Apple.
I may suspend access to certain services if these Terms are violated or if the App is intentionally misused.
As Lumio evolves, these Terms may occasionally change.
When significant updates are made, I'll update the date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, notify you in the App.
Continuing to use Lumio after those changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
Questions about these Terms?
I'd be happy to help.
Thank you for using Lumio.
