Your privacy matters.
Lumio was built as a place for quiet reflection, and that only works if your journal stays personal. This Privacy Policy explains what information Lumio collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.
Everything you write in Lumio belongs to you.
By default, your reflections are stored only on your device.
If you choose to enable iCloud Sync through Support Lumio, your journal is also stored in your personal Apple iCloud account so it can sync across your Apple devices.
Your reflections are never uploaded to Lumio's servers.
I cannot read your journal.
To provide the app, Lumio collects a small amount of information.
Lumio may collect:
Your reflection text is never included in analytics or crash reports.
Lumio is intentionally designed to collect as little information as possible.
It does not collect:
Your journal is yours.
The limited information Lumio collects is used to:
Lumio never sells your information.
Lumio never shares your journal with advertisers.
iCloud Sync is optional and available with Support Lumio.
When enabled:
If you turn iCloud Sync off, future changes stop syncing.
You can permanently remove both local and iCloud data using Settings → Clear All Data.
Lumio relies on trusted services to provide certain features.
These include:
These providers have their own privacy policies.
If you allow notifications, Lumio sends gentle reminders for your daily reflection.
You can change reminder times or turn notifications off anytime in Settings or in iPhone Settings.
Lumio does not send advertising notifications.
You remain in control of your data.
You can:
Deleting your journal permanently removes your reflections from your device and, if enabled, from your iCloud account.
Your journal remains on your device until you delete it.
If iCloud Sync is enabled, your journal remains in your iCloud account until you remove it.
Anonymous analytics and crash reports are retained only as long as needed to improve Lumio.
Support emails are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your request.
Lumio isn't intended for children under 13, or the minimum digital consent age in your country.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through Lumio, please contact me.
I use industry-standard security practices to protect the information needed to operate Lumio.
While no system is completely secure, I work to keep your information safe and to minimize the amount of information collected in the first place.
From time to time, this Privacy Policy may be updated as Lumio evolves or legal requirements change.
When significant changes are made, I'll update the date above and notify you in the app when appropriate.
If you have questions about privacy, I'd love to hear from you.
Thank you for trusting Lumio with your reflections.
